Zahnrad and Frieden.

This is Zahnrad and his steed Frieden.

This is a kit bash build with a steam punk look. It is subtle, but his head has a vague resemblance to the main character in Clockwork Orange.

For the joints I used magnets and ball bearings. This gave great freedom of movement but difficult to get enough friction to hold the weight. He has a support stand to hold him up.

His gun is made mostly from Babylon 5 kit parts and his backpack is an old pager box.

This is Frieden. I used Lego as an armature to build on holding the seat at the height I wanted to know what room I had to fit the other components under and around it.

It was made from many old kits. There was a lot of fudging to get Zahnrad to sit on him with clearance.

All completed ready for the paint washes.
